Culture takes TIME to build and we are seeing the results in this historic run!

The 2026 New York Knicks are a powerful example of how culture, connection, and sacrifice can drive success at the highest level. Led by Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart, three former Villanova teammates who won a national championship under the incredible leadership of Coach Jay Wright, the Knicks continue to reflect the values that made those teams so special. Their shared foundation of trust, accountability, and selflessness has helped create one of the most connected teams in professional sports, and their 2-0 start in the NBA Finals is a reflection of that bond. The chemistry they built years ago at Villanova has carried over to New York, where every player seems committed to something bigger than individual success. Brunson's leadership extends far beyond the court, he chose to sign a four-year, $156.5 million extension in 2024 rather than wait for a potential five-year deal worth nearly $270 million, sacrificing approximately $113 million to give the organization greater flexibility to build a championship roster around its core. In a sports world often focused on individual achievements, the Knicks are proving that when leaders prioritize relationships, trust, and winning together, extraordinary things can happen.


*I also want to add that I think the San Antonio Spurs have an incredible culture as well. I admire the consistency they’ve maintained over so many years, along with the pride that both current and former players seem to carry, largely shaped by the leadership of former head coach Gregg Popovich. His teams are known for playing smart, extremely unselfish, and always connected on both ends of the floor. Star player Victor Wembanyama also seems to be a special leader in the making, with the potential to guide his team to championship. We will see what happens from here.
