What we can learn from Captain America - Be Kind

Updated: Jul 22, 2023

“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

Be kind. Always." ― Brad Meltzer

Captain America is my favorite superhero. He is committed to helping others, sees the best in them, and is brave enough to use his words and actions for their betterment.

Although he is a superhero...he is not doing anything extraordinary...he is just being a kind person who cares about other people.

Think about a great day you have had recently...

(Take some time to think about it)

Now, think about a bad day you have had recently...

(Take some time to think about it)

Now, insert a family member, friend, co-worker, or a random stranger and imagine them doing something kind for you...regardless if you were having a great day or a bad day. That person ONLY ENHANCED your day...they did not do anything to make it worse.

Life is hard. The right thing to do is to give others some grace and do what you can to help them...whether it is a smile, kind word, text or phone call, letting someone merge into your lane, holding the door open, giving a genuine compliment, saying please and thank you, meeting up with a friend, offering to do a task that will alleviate the burden on someone else, etc.

Choose to embody the qualities the Captain America possesses, every day, because YOU possess them as well.

Thank you for reading and please feel free to reach out if I can help in anyway!
