2026 March Madness Champions

"“That was the first time I had been with a group that was truly sacrificial… where we were about each other, and because of that we all improved so much.”

Dusty May (Michigan press conference after winning the 2026 National Championship) "We’re here to do something, and that’s to win… bring the right mindset, work ethic, culture and people.”

This image is one example of how Head Coach, Dusty May, of the Michigan Wolverines built a connected championship culture. At Florida Atlantic, he often emphasized on podcasts that culture is not something you “install,” but something you live through accountability, communication, and trust between people willing to be coached hard and care deeply about one another. That foundation showed itself in FAU’s historic Final Four run, where unity and belief carried a team that refused to be defined by expectations. Now at Michigan, the same principles have scaled to a national championship level, where Coach May has credited his team’s success to selflessness and the willingness of players to put the group above themselves. Across both programs, his message has stayed consistent: when everyone commits to doing their job and caring about the person next to them, winning becomes a byproduct rather than the goal. That philosophy is what ultimately powered Michigan’s 2026 championship run and defines the way his teams are built at every stop.
